The facilities of Hesco, Inc. are certified to food grade status. We
earned an "A” certification grade (the highest possible) at both Hesco
facilities during our first British Retail Consortium (BRC) audits. BRC
standards are recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
Hesco also earned an American Institute of Baking (AIB) Superior
certification (the highest possible) are registered with the FDA, and
have both USDA and QAI organic certification, as well as Orthodox Union
Kosher certification. Our HACCP plan is in place and we routinely
undergo a variety of third-party inspections to ensure our compliance to
food quality standards.
Hesco, Inc. / Dakota Organic Products has a successful history supplying grain to the pet food industry. The line between pet grade and food grade has become very thin with the same quality and traceability requirements in both areas. Our direct relationship with the growers allows us to trace the grains we clean and process right back to the field where they were grown. Traceability to the field is provided with all of our organic grains.
